The course is delivered via self paced learning (correspondence) however, this is an industry training course that will require your dedication and commitment to finish. We believe that all students should be able to complete the Advanced Diploma within 12 months of enrolment and if necessary we can provide students with a training schedule to assist them in achieving this goal.
Along with written assignments, case studies and formal knowledge tests you will be required to undertake practical survey tasks. Please note that to undertake practical assignments you will be required to organise your own access to a suitable vessel.
The Advanced Diploma of Commercial Marine Surveying is best suited to current practicing marine surveyors and Maritime professionals such as Engineers, Naval Architects, and Master Mariners of all classes as well as those who are looking to continue their study after successful completion of the International Diploma of Commercial Marine Surveying.
We provide all applicants with an opportunity to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning or apply credits from other qualifications that they have acquired.
Please note that there is not a reduction in course costs for RPL – the assessment only pathway or RPL is priced at the same rate as for training and assessment. There is a reduction in costs for a direct credit transfer. A credit transfer occurs when you have completed an accredited unit that is equivalent to a unit in the Diploma Course. You will need to provide your transcript of academic results when you apply for a credit transfer.
