Marine Surveyor – 2 positions available Queensland

Local or willing to relocate – long distance FIFO not an option

Short stay travel involved

Master Mariner, C/O and/or demonstrated experience and competence in some or all following area:

·         Draught Surveying

·         Loading supervision/Load Master Dry Bulk

·         Cargo hold inspection with Grain Accreditation preferred

·         Petroleum and Liquid Cargoes

·         On/off hire and condition inspection and reporting

·         Flag State

·         P&I

·         Other areas of competence welcomed

·         Sound grasp of technology

·         Good health and fitness – pre-start medical required

·         Current MSIC

·         HSCE focus and compliance

·         Current Australian Drivers Licence and safe driver record

·         Attention to detail, excellence, pride in what you do

·         Ability to work independently and get along with colleagues and clients

·         Personal values of humility and respect highly regarded

The company was established in Victoria and recent growth in demand for our services in New South Wales has opened the opportunity for a full time Marine Surveyor to service our clients in NSW.

About the Role

As a marine surveyor you will ensure surveys are conducted in accordance with correct standards and procedures to provide compliance advice and excellent service to our customers.

About the Person

  • This position requires you to hold accreditation from the Australian Maritime Safety Authority as a Domestic Commercial Surveyor.
  • Your knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations that apply to domestic commercial vessels and commitment to customer service will be key to your success.
  • To be eligible for this position, you will be technically qualified and hold a current Australian driver’s license.
  • You must be self motivated and be comfortable working independently.
